Web Design & Development
Central to the services we offer, we design and develop websites that are attractive, effective and serve your business needs.
Our experience
We’ve been building websites since 1996. The pace of change in web design is still as fast as ever and we take pride in our ability to keep ahead.
We’ve built single page landing pages and massive sites for museum collections.
Our portfolio and case studies show how diverse our skills are and we work with very talented designers and developers to create sites we’re proud of.
We’ve built sites from scratch, we’ve built complex content management systems using PHP & MySQL. We’ve used a wide range of Open Source content management systems like Drupal, Joomla and BoltCMS but now we choose to specialise in WordPress:
WordPress
WordPress is available as a service or a self-hosted version. When we refer to WordPress here we are talking about the self hosted version which we install on our servers and configure and maintain on your behalf.
WordPress was used by more than 27.5% of the top 10 million websites as of February 2017. WordPress is reportedly the most popular website management or blogging system in use on the Web, supporting more than 60 million websites.

Our experience
In the last few years we have built and currently maintain for our clients over ninety WordPress sites. We’ve refined and developed our installation checklists and protocols to ensure installation security.
We’ve developed bespoke themes, and written our own plug-ins. Our prefered themes and plugins list ensures we can quickly provide a wide range of functions and designs.
We’ve worked with other WordPress agencies on high profile sites to extend and adapt how content is managed and presented.
What does a WordPress site cost?
You could set up your own site at wordpress.com for free. However, you get what you pay for.
Unfortunately ballparking the cost of your website is almost impossible as it all depends on your needs.
A very simple WordPress site could be built in a couple of hours – but we’re talking very basic stuff here – a welcome page and a contact us form.
The average WordPress site usually takes more than a day to build.
The cost of your site will depend on many other factors and we’ve built sites that have cost anywhere between £300 and £30,000
We understand that for most businesses, managing expenditure is of prime importance. We will work with you and your budget to produce maximum value for money.
